The ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification, the ACA, is one of the most advanced learning and professional development programmes available. It is valued around the world in business, practice and the public sector.

In our Scottish offices we offer the CA qualification, through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. It’s a prestigious and internationally respected qualification that will provide you with the knowledge, skills and values to be highly regarded and sought-after business professional.
The ACA and CA usually take around 3 years to complete.

The career of a chartered accountant is a varied and interesting one, and either qualification will provide you with the skills to be a successful business professional anywhere in the world.

You’ll initially train to become a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). The ATT qualification will give you excellent introductory tax technical knowledge and practical skills and will take approximately 6 to 12 months to complete. Following successful completion of your ATT you could go on to study to become a Chartered Tax Advisor through the Chartered Tax Institute of Taxation (CTA).

Successful completion of your IIA qualification may enable you to further study via either the Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) or the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CPIFA) study routes.
