What is the format of the assessment centre and do I need to prepare anything?

The assessment day will usually start in the morning and finish just after lunch. The assessment day will take place in the office or region of your choice. We will usually let you know the outcome within 2-5 days.

You’ll have a strengths-based interview, normally with a Partner or Director, and will also undertake some strengths-based team and written exercises.  You will also have the chance to find out much more about Mazars and meet members of the team.

Hints & Tips

Interview – the interview will be a strengths based interview with a Partner. Different strengths will be assessed at the interview and throughout the day; Learning Agility, Drive, Adaptability, Initiative, Relationship Management, Collaboration, Business Affinity, Analysis, Clarity and Professionalism.

Group Exercise – one of the key skills we assess is being able to work as part of a team. It is essential that you listen to the instructions at the beginning of the exercise as this will provide you with information on what is required of you.

Presentation – you will be required to prepare and present a short group presentation. The presentation topic will be given to you on the day, so there is nothing to prepare for in advance.

Numerical and Written Exercise – this is a time pressured written exercise where we assess your numerical and written communication skills.
